That's bollocks Glenny. How could it be better than London Zoo's location?

It's a 20 minute walk from my house.

Re: Colchester Zoo
Great day out and much better than London Zoo due to its sheer size and location.

Are the wallabies still living free on the Downs?

Re: Colchester Zoo
Whipsnade is a much better zoo.

My mate is an elephant keeper there.

Re: Colchester Zoo
Colchester zoo is wicked.

Always found London Zoo to be a little shit really compared to the nice expanses of a zoo in the countryside.

Re: Colchester Zoo
Its a very good zoo, but lots of walking up and down hill. Paradise Wildlife park at Broxbourne is also a really good day out for younger kids. Good selection of animals (including a lot of big cats) and play areas for the kids.

Re: Colchester Zoo

It's better than London Zoo mate.
It's rated as the second best animal attraction in the UK after Chester.
It's quite hilly so you will definitely need the push chair if you have young kids!

Great idea get the Kids to push you around all day!!

Linton zoo is just round the corner from me.

It is the Phoenix Nights of zoos, worth a visit from an ironic perspective.

Let's be fair we all go to zoo's to see two things.

Animals fucking.

Animals shitting.

Pretty much it.

I am struggling to work out what is so unmissably entertaining about elephant and giraffe feeding time. Have they been taught to use chopsticks?
